Biography


Dr. Ankit Rajpal is currently serving as an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the Cluster Innovation Centre, University of Delhi (on lien from the Department of Computer Science, University of Delhi). He has been an Assistant Professor at the University of Delhi since November 2020. He holds a Ph.D. in Image and Video Watermarking from the University of Delhi and is a patent holder for a video watermarking tool developed for MPEG-4 AVC videos. His research contributions have been recognized through four research publication awards, and he has successfully completed multiple research projects. His research interests span Artificial Intelligence in Medical Diagnosis, Explainable Machine Learning, Computational Biology, and Image and Video Watermarking. He has authored numerous publications in reputed international journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Rajpal has over 11 years of dedicated undergraduate teaching experience from July 2009 to November 2020, during which he extensively contributed to student mentoring and foundational computer science education. He has also been actively involved in curriculum design for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. He has also co-authored books aligned with the CBSE-prescribed syllabus for Computer Science and Informatics Practices. He completed his M.Sc. and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science from the University of Delhi. Beyond teaching and research, he actively engages in academic development through participation in faculty development programs, MOOCs, and by organizing workshops for computer science educators across schools and colleges.
