Working on proteome analysis of a HCH degrader, Sphingobium indicum B90A when grown under the pressure of different isomers of HCH. This work may be extended to other HCH degrading strains as well. She is also working on the draft genome of a HCH degrader Novosphingobium lindaniclasticum LE124 isolated from the HCH dumpsite situated in Lucknow, India. She is also working on the enzyme Hexachlorocyclohexane Dehydrochlorinase (LinA). She is analysing seven linA mutants and is working on their kinetics and enantioselectivity with alpha HCH.
