Rabindra Ray, M.A. (Kanpur), D.Phil. (Oxon.), is Reader in Sociology.  His research interests include the study of Europe, Europeanization and issues connected with the concepts of modernity and post-modernity, violence, and terrorism.  He is the author of The Naxalites and their Ideology (1988) and Living with Difference: Essays in a Philosophical Anthropology (2005).
