About Me

As a teacher in the Department of Zoology, in addition to teaching a core paper in Metabolism: Concepts & Regulations in first semester. I also have offered two elective papers, (i) Structure and Functions of Genes in the third semester, and (ii) Chromatin Biology and Epigenetics in the fourth semester. These elective courses are well- sought after courses in the department.

As the founder Director of Cluster Innovation Center, I played pivotal role in establishment of this new Center at University of Delhi. The center has created an ecosystem for bridging academia, Industry and societal linkages, where education is imparted through problem-solving of real-life problems. The center is the first one to create an education system on the concepts of Meta-University with Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, and Meta-College concepts. A Business Incubator with the help of Ministry of MSME, and a Design Innovation Center funded by MHRD have also been established for the first time in the University.

As Director of Center for Science Education and Communications, we have established strong linkages between schools of Delhi & NCR and University of Delhi. We have conducted a series of hand-on activities for school children in the advanced areas of Information Technology, Embedded systems & Robotics, and Mathematics Education through mathematical games. The center has developed hands-on tools for teaching mathematics to visually challenged students.

As a member of Research Council in the capacity of Dean Research (Life Science) of the University, we have supported a series of trans-disciplinary Innovation projects at Undergraduate levels, where students are encouraged to come up with new ideas and test their ideas through research methodologies. We have encouraged thematic research activities in Departments of the University. To support and encourage Innovation, patent and commercialization , we have created a IPR Center and Policy for University of Delhi.
