Ho to troubleshoot connectivity

If you are not able to browse Internet on your PC take following steps to fix it.

1. Check for Proxy settings and correct it. Refresh your browser. If you are not getting connectivity go to next step.

2. Check for loose connectivity of LAN cable at your PC end.

3. Ping Proxy server name or IP address (proxy.du.ac.in if your College is connected with North Campus and 10.102.1.88 if your College is connected with South Campus network).

4. Ping DNS server IP (if your College is connected with North Campus network ping 10.2.1.13 or 10.2.1.16. and if your College is connected with South Campus network ping 10.102.1.13 or 10.102.1.88.

5. Ping Radio IP (if your college is connected with RF link, otherwise skip this step. See configuration sheet of your college for Radio IP).

6. Ping your Gateway IP (see configuration sheet of your college for Gateway IP).

7. Ping your PC IP.

8. Ping loopback IP (127.0.0.1). If you are getting proper response from loopback IP. Check IP setting of your PC. Ping IP address of PC.

9. Ping Gateway IP again. If you are not getting proper response call switch vendor (M/s. Ramco).

10. If you are able to ping switch then ping your Radio IP. If you fail, call RF equipment vendor (M/s. Tulip).

11. If you are getting proper response after pinging Radio IP, ping your Proxy server (IP or name), DNS serve. If you are not getting proper response may register your complain with Help desk of North or South campus where your college is connected.
